On 9 September, the North Rhine-Westphalian state government presented its energy and heating strategy for the period up to 2045. In order to become the first climate-neutral industrial region in Europe, NRW is being supported in its implementation by the state organisation for energy and climate protection with targeted offers. NRW.Energy4Climate provides support to NRW companies and municipalities, particularly in the expansion of renewables, the hydrogen ramp-up and the municipal heating transition.
„The energy and heating strategy lays the foundation for an economically strong, resilient and liveable NRW“, says Christian Mildenberger, Managing Director of NRW.Energy4Climate. „We support companies and local authorities in the implementation with our programmes. We invite all stakeholders to tackle the transformation together!“
According to NRW.Energy4Climate, the expansion of renewable energies, the hydrogen ramp-up and the heating transition are essential to drive forward a cross-sector transformation towards climate neutrality. The company would like to support the energy transition process with new dialogue formats and initial consultations, the hydrogen control centre H2.NRW and the NRW Heat Transition Competence Centre as a contact point for companies and municipalities, players in the H2 economy and heat transition.
