ACIMAF was founded in Brescia, Italy, in 1987 for the purpose of promoting the image of italian technology in the field of machines and products for the wire and cable manufacturing industry.
It is a non-profit voluntary association and plays an important International role of cooperation in improving the location and organisation of the major wire and cable trade fairs.
ACIMAF also makes proposals and works constructively to imporve coordiantion between its member companies and the Italian Foreing Trade Institute (ICE) and promotes marketing activity aimed at penetrating the markets of the more profitable geographical regions.
ACIMAF member companies offer to the wire and cable industry an incomparable range of machines and products, able to satisfy all users requests.
The high quality standard of machines, plants and products, the most progress technologies and high professional technical assistance, offer to customers of ACIMAF associated companies the guarantee of a sure success.
The history of the association give a picture of the progress made by the association over the years and is designed to provide information that is as complete as possible on the products of our firms as they strive constantly to achive maximum presence in all areas of the market. All our members have become increasingly more aware of how indispensable the internationalisation factor is for the growth of our firms and that the reserach and development of new products is the best gurantee for new and future generations. The strong growth in exports of plant and products on all world markets is the best proof of the commitment and success of our firms. As a consequence of this ACIMAFs policity has been strongly directed towards seeking top-level International partnerships over the last decade. Among the most significant results of this policy have been the agreements with Wire Association International (WAI) and the International Wire & Cable Association (IWMA), whereby the important and prestigious European wire and cable conference is now held in Italy every four years. We feel that ACIMAF has done its work well and has made decisive contributions to the organization of International Trade Fairs in the sector, which now respond to the indications and needs of the industry and take greater of account of exhibitor and visitor requirements and requests.
We have worked to build partnerships with expert and professional exhibition organizers and at the same time, by co-operating with other associations, to prevent the uncontrolled proliferation of fairs and events that do not match the real requirements of the industry.
We have also constructed a positive and profitable working relationship with the Italian Foreing Trade Institute (ICE), which, as it has grown and been refined in the course of time, has allowed our firms to benefit from assistance of great value at trade fair events and when sending missions abroad and organizing collective advertising initiatives, targeted on specific areas of interest.
